Description
The Fiber Bragg Grating is an enabling technology that has demonstrated its usefulness in the deployment of optical networks. For example, pump lockers are critical to lock and stabilize pump lasers, driving Erbium-doped optical amplifiers. It turns out Amplifiers are still required in the Metro/Access networks, there are many Insertion Losses due to adding and dropping of channels, so pump locker requirements will continue to grow.
